 Side Show The Musical: Side Show is based on the true life story of Daisy and Violet Hilton, conjoined twins who left a carnival freak show to star in Vaudeville and how they must learn to balance two different lives into one.

All roles available except Daisy Hilton and Violet Hilton.
 
All roles are paid.
 
Needed are:
Terry Connor (Baritone)  -  Concert promoter.  Falls in love with Daisy.  Strong singer.
Buddy Foster (Tenor) - Music Teacher / Vaudeville Performer.  Falls in love with Violet. Strong singer and dancer.
Jake (Baritone) - African American.  Powerful soul voice.  The heart of the piece.  Strong acting, strong singing.
The Boss (Tenor) - The MC of the Sideshow.  Aggressive, threatening, charismatic.
 
Plus 12 chorus roles* (6 male, 6 female) requiring strong dance and vocals with good character skills.
4 character roles requiring strong acting and good dance and vocals.
 
*A particular need is present for an East Indian Male actor and a Arabic Male actor in the chorus. 
 
We are looking for a wide variety of actors - ethnicities, ages, freakish talents - all of the chorus play members of the side show, so come on in and show us your freaky side.  (Not all characters need to be overly freaky, however - please don't skip the audition because you feel you aren't freaky enough.)
 

 

The audition will take place on Saturday, April 3, starting at 10:00 AM.  To sign up for a slot, email gemelleproductions@gmail.com with your headshot and resume, and a time preference from the slots below.
 
Slots will be
1)  10:00-11:30
2)  11:30-1:00
3)  1:30-3:00
4)  3:00-4:30
5)  4:30-6:00. 
 
Please be available for the entire 90 minutes.  This will encompass your dance audition as well.  More details will follow after you sign up.
 
Please come prepared with a 32 bar cut of a musical theatre piece and a monologue.  You will have 3 minutes.  Accompaniment will be provided.
 
Auditions will take place at Franklin High School at 5405 Southeast Woodward Street, Portland, OR 97206
 
Callbacks will be on Sunday, April 4 starting at 2:30 at the same location. 
(We are aware that this is Easter.  If this is a conflict for you, we can find an alternate time.)
 
 
Rehearsals begin May 2.  Standard rehearsals will be Sunday 1-9, M-Th 7-10.  The show opens June 17 and runs Fri-Sun until July 11.
